It’s been a while since I’ve written an update with summer being quite busy, so here’s what’s been going on.

I’m set to release the first book in a new series this week called Skyseekers. Book one of the series is titled Under Iron Skies. The E-Book cover on the left is the Amazon Kindle version and the cover on the right is the Google Play version.

This is the print cover (wrap around) and the novel synopsis.

The character pictured on the cover is Helia, one of the three primary protagonists of the novel. The print version of the book has 396 pages. It will be available on-launch at both Amazon and Google Play.

The E-book version will be 4.25 USD or the appropriate regional equivalent and the print version will be 14.00 USD.

The Skyseekers project has been in the works since 2022. I set out with the intention of getting a substantial part of the series done before I released the first part. I have the second and third parts of the series written, though they need to be edited before they are ready to go.

The next videos for the Youtube channel are going to be animations. I’ve already got a fair amount of the prep for those done, I’ve just been spending most of my free time on writing recently. Consequently, they’ve been put on the back burner. They’re going to be 3D animations instead of my previous 2D ones, which obviously take more time overall to put together. At this point, I’ll be working on one of two ideas. The first is a short that is a parody of the Manosphere/pick up artist culture. The second is a serious drama piece based on a modernization of the Chinese folk story The King of the Ants.

As for non-author related activities, I’ve been doing on-call firefighting since March and I currently have around 40 different incidents that I’ve helped respond. These range from wild fires to medical calls.

That’s what I’ve been up to and what’s coming up.

Regards, Joshua Kingston
